Gameindustry.biz has an article spotlighting the PC Gamering Alliance report that shows a 2008 uptick in PC Gaming.
It’s chocked full of goodness that flies in the face of Console prognosticators that have been predicting the so-called “death” of the PC Gaming market for the last 10 years.
For example… did you know the total install base of gaming capable PC/Laptops are estimated at 228 million? And by 2013 they expected 600 million?
“PC gaming extends way beyond a dedicated niche of hardcore PC gamers and high-end PC gaming systems,” said Bob O’Donnell, IDC vice president for clients and displays. “In fact, surveys of US consumers show that about 60 per cent of all consumers over 18 play some kind of games and about 59 percent of them prefer PCs as their primary platform.”
Nifty.
